I made this in 1991 out of stoneware. Amazingly, it didn't explode in the kiln in either the bisque or final firing. However, it didn't survive an exhibition in Stornoway where some light - though obviously culturally refined - fingers removed it without paying. I suppose I should consider having my first exhibited artwork stolen as a kind of complement, but there are better ways of showing appreciation.
