PRESS, MAGAZINE AND STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

PRESS
The North-east of Scotland probably has more photographers per capita than any part of the country. In the North-west there are hardly any. The nearest professionals I know of are 70 miles away on the East coast. Newspaper and magazine editors seem to think of the Highlands as a small park to the north of Inverness and send photographers hundreds of unnecessary miles at huge expense to take photographs I could produce and send far more quickly for a fraction of the cost. Though there may be little in the way of "hot" news here, there is plenty of interest to the wider public and the North-west deserves far more coverage than it gets. My background knowledge of the area leaves me better placed than most to provide the picture you want.

STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

I have a large stock of photographs covering most aspects of the North-west Highlands of Scotland, particularly Sutherland. I have a great deal of material and background information on the fishing industry having worked in and around it for nearly 20 years. I have a huge collection of landscape work and wildlife photographs. Most of the photographs in my galleries have cousins taken at the same time of different formats and angles so if a shot looks not quite what you're looking for, there is a good chance that I'll have one that is - for example, if you need a portrait format shot of a landscape format picture. What I don't have, I can often provide at short notice. Large files up to 500Mb can be delivered instantly via upload to server.

If you can't find what you want here, try this link to a modern on-line Fair Trade stock photography library where the photographer makes most of the money - most stock libraries take at least 50%. P.D takes 20%.
