MARTIN MORRISON, PHOTOGRAPHER. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MARTIN MORRISON, PHOTOGRAPHER
It so happens that there was a Norwegian chap called Martin Morrison who settled in the U.S. in about 1898. He was an exponent of stereographic photography which has enjoyed brief popularity at various stages in the development of both still and cinematic photography. It may yet as technology develops. I only found out about him recently. Our surname suggests that it is probable that we are distantly related - the Morrison clan settled in Lewis and Sutherland from Norway in the 15th century - though improbable that any connection could be accurately traced. However, the site will be worth a look for those interested in photographic history and/or obscure details of the Morrison clan.
